This animation was a combination of some shots that i had, One being from my Sifton bog shots, one being from some outdoor shots i'd taken at the start of the year. The last shot being from a shortfilm i'd worked on called split screen. The animation was a text animation done in Cinema4D that was inspired by Vsauce3's "Could you survive a nuclear winter" Title from his video "What if the world ended" Graphic made by Eric Langhley. Using that tutorial as a reference point i wanted to change certain elements of it and apply it to some footage that i "De-resed" to give it a vintage vibe. This was done by extruding a text object into z space and then keyframing the extrusion to shorten over time. This basically just created a wireframe for the text and then a gradient for the base text. Afterwards i composited it in After Effects with the base wireframe being over the gradient and then adding a glow over it to sell the 80's vibe. After adding the glow i added in some grain, blur and bringing up the gamma to sell the 80's vibe, and then added in a screen tearing effect  to fully sell the VHS look.
